Should’ve waited

It I just would have waited a couple of hours Monday night, I would have had a story to tell. See, I stayed up until after ten reading on the couch. It was past time to go to bed so I got up, went to get my phone/alarm……. and couldn’t find it.

Not on the table. Not on the counter. Check coat pockets.

Nope.

Go upstairs, check bathroom.

Nope.

Back downstairs. Not on the table. Not on the counter. Check coat pockets.

Check car? Check car.

Nope.

Now I’m starting to worry because this is my alarm clock and there is no other possible way to wake up a human other than using a newish flip-phone, right? This whole time I am calling it with Lloyd’s phone but I know it’s futile since I turned it to vibrate after someone tried calling at naptime. I started spiraling into an OCD routine – Not on the table. Not on the counter. Check coat pockets. Go upstairs, check bathroom. Not on the table. Not on the counter. Check coat pockets. Check car. Not on the table. Not on the counter. Check coat pockets. Check car.

At this point I was wondering if I left it at work, but that wasn’t possible because I called Lloyd on the way home.

Didn’t I?

Didn’t I?…….

Um, no. I just talked to him…. without his being present. I tend to talk to myself a lot.

10:45 p.m. Phone found in basement of CDC. Twenty missed calls from Lloyd’s phone.

Wow. That’s a serious misplacement. I think the last time I didn’t have my phone immediately with me, I found it in the kitchen.

Haha! Laughing with you….not at you. And I can’t believe you went out so late to get it.

I wonder what new product we’ll have in the future that we’ll misplace often. Years ago there was only our dang keys that we misplaced…and our wallets.

That’s funny. I left my phone at work recently and I live 30 minutes from work! The only problem was with Dale’s schedule we always touch base around 6:30 or 7:00 -- can’t do that without my phone. Being the genious that I am -- I logged onto Facebook and found my sister in law, Michelle on line -- she was able to call Dale and relay messages between us.

Sorry/congrats about your phone. But what I really want to know is why your site has all these payday loan links/ads on the top. Is anyone else seeing that?

Are they still there? Some spam comments were slipping through and I think that was the problem. Sorry about that. 🙁

Or maybe….. would you like a loan? My rates are very unreasonable!
