God bless Lloyd. He stopped by the CDC Tuesday afternoon and was brave enough to help with the float. He hooked up the battery to the power inverter so we could test the lights. (One little spark. Everything went fine.). As he left he asked when I’d be home. I said it would be sometime after six. He leaned in and whispered, “I have chicken.”
Be still my heart!
Well, it was a while after six when I got home. Yay! Chicken for dinner!
I opened the door, greeted the cats, then worriedly said, “What smells like plastic? Why does it smell like plastic!?!” (Hmmmmmm…. Second time this week I’ve come home to a bad smell.)
Um. Lloyd thought he set the oven to ‘Warm and Hold’. Instead he said it to ‘Ruin the Side Dishes’.
An honest mistake. As a bonus, there was a little burned styrofoam nugget for dessert.
Gretchen says
Charred styrofoam? Snack-a-licious indeed!
Brad says
Didn’t you once make little pilgrim hats out of styrofoam? You’re just getting a head start on Thanksgiving!
Michelle says
Is there anything better??
LOL
Peggy says
Haha……And I bet the Pilgrims had similar charcoaled nuggets on their 1st Thanksgiving feast! Way to be authentic Lloyd!
And you get an A+ for effort Lloyd!!!!!!!
