I’ve had some stomach difficulties this week. It started on Sunday with an actual case of heartburn. (I never had heartburn with all my GERD stuff before.) It HURT. Like ‘I think I’m having a heart attack’ hurt. (Which I wasn’t. Which means that one day I will die of a heart attack because I’ll be assuring myself that it’s just heartburn.) (Paranoia rocks.)
Anyway, it’s been several days do living like I used to – my saliva tastes like acid, my throat is raw in the morning, and I slept sitting up on the couch last night. That’s ok, though, because it has made me so grateful realizing that I have been so much better this last year or so, and I know that this will get better.
What was that song again?

LOVE the video. I needed that!
Brad says
Haha! I’m with you on the paranoia. EVERYTHING feels like a heart attack. Wait… is my left arm hurting? I have to go…

Dang. And ouch. I know how much that can hurt & it is really scary! I sure hope you feel better soon! And LOVE that song & video! Great viewing on a Friday morning!
(To Lauren: Have you ever been told you have laryngopharyngeal reflux aka silent reflux. That’s what I have. I don’t general get heartburn either, just the damage from the reflux. Years ago they found some barrett cells in my throat so now I need to have a biopsy every 2 years. The last 2 biopsies showed no barrets. That doesn’t mean there isn’t any….it just means there weren’t any in the area that was biopsied, which is still good. I do love my throat/stomach doctor though & look forward to seeing him every 2 years!)

I wasn’t given that specific diagnosis (or if I was, I forgot), but yes, I think that’s what I have/had. No biopsies, though -- you poor thing!

Hi Lauren!
I sometimes get heartburn at night. What works for me is two chewable Tums. May be worth s try.
