… because Lloyd does it wrong.
My method : Start with hot taco shells, baked in the oven for five minutes.
Add cheese (to melt to bottom).
Add meat.
Then lettuce, olives, tomatoes then sour cream.
Lloyd’s wrong method:
Smear hot taco shell with sour cream on the sides.
Lettuce on the bottom, then olives, then cheese then meat on top to melt the cheese. His rationale? “You want the heat to melt the cheese.”
Brad says
My method is: meat, then cheese, then tomatoes, then lettuce. The meat melts the cheese, and the tomatoes buffer the heat for the lettuce. Warm tomatoes are ok, but warm lettuce is not.
Deborah says
Lauren’s is prettier. Sorry, Lloyd.
Peggy says
I use Tostitos Scoops & fill with meat and top with lettuce. Pop it in my mouth. Next one.
And I agree with Deborah….Lauren’s taco is a work of art!

I do what Brad does. We must be related.
Curt says
I do what Brad does too. (hmmm…..a+b=c) Am I related to the Royuks?
Grampa Royuk says
Don’t forget the hot taco sauce and tabasco on top of the meat! 🙂
Curt says
I actually don’t use taco shells anymore. I came to the conclusion that using crushed tortilla chips and making a taco salad was more cost effective. But I probably eat more so that throws out any savings.
Lloyd says
I only use the flat bottomed taco shells now. I highly recommend them no matter how you build your tacos.
Curt says
Flat bottom tacos? I must try these.
