We are having some sort of scheduled visit from the department of labor later this month. It’s no big deal since our ducks are all in a row, but it was time to make sure our Labor Law posters were up to snuff.
From what I could see on the website, ours were still good, but I re-printed two of them bigger, and then did a terrible job hanging them up using contact paper. Oh well – still legal.
When our former director took her job at the university and I was having my Very Difficult Year, I got a call from some guy that said it was time to update our labor law posters for the low, low price of $150. I told him I’d get back to him and realized that he was trying to cheat me! You can print those things for free from the internet. (You just have to set the printer to the ‘poster’ setting.) Granted, it’s like putting together a very boring puzzle, but it’s still free.
Peggy says
Great title!
And I think if the laws have changed, they should just send the posters free of charge. Stupid government! You should run for President!
Brad says
You should start calling people and offering to give them new posters for the low, low price of $140. It would run that guy out of business.
Cousin Sam says
How long did it take?
Lauren says
From printing to putting on the door -- three days.
CousinSam says
That’s why it cost $150.
