I am willing to admit when I am wrong. Begrudgingly, and kicking and screaming while doing it, but willing to admit it. Wait – that’s not what ‘willing’ means, is it?
I have posted about Swiffers before, and while I still think that using a damp washcloth is the best way to go for mopping/cleaning with one, I see the value in the actual cleaning cloths they manufacture. Though it pains me to use something that will go in the trash can, at least each one will take half a pound of cat and human hair along with it.
On Saturday I spent a good portion of the day cleaning. The Peperkorns are coming by on Wednesday and I thought I’d get a head start on making the house less furry. HOLY COW. I swept, then swept again, then mopped with the Swiffer/washcloth combination, then mopped with the real mop. The floor was pretty clean, but there were still tiny tumbleweeds of cat hair blowing about. I broke out the vacuum, but then got to wondering about the Swiffer cloths. After Samith and Stephannie’s party we stopped at Target and I bought a box. (I actually did some math in the aisle to get the best deal.)
So, we’ll see how these 48 cloths work out. My goal is just to keep things relatively hair-free until Thursday, so hopefully I’ll have some left over. Also? They can be flipped over after using the nubbly side and the smoother side is just as effective. *jibblie*
I just cleaned these floors yesterday!!
