Lloyd had to go to his school today, so I tagged alo. I find that I actually do computer-y type work better if I’m not at home. Without the distractions of cats and cats and cats, I worked on several projects and felt pretty productive.
Also on the to-do list was getting a haircut. I like going to the mall because there’s a place that usually has time for walk-in appointments, and if I have to wait a little while I can just walk around.
Well, walk around I did. Check out this crazy exhibit! That’s SAND. I don’t know who did it because the posters around it were pretty vague, but apparently there are sixty tons of sand there, all molded into the three arenas in Lincoln: football, baseball and concerts.
Wow.
Brad says
Did you touch it? I would want to touch it. How do they get the sand to stay still? Do they use glue of some kind?
Peggy says
Wow! That is really cool! I’m wondering how they got all that sand into the mall. Surely they didn’t bring it in bag at a time.
(And this reminds me of the sand sculptor in Ocean City MD. He’s been doing Christian works of art on the beach for 30 years. They’re really good. He changes them like once a month. And Brad, his site says that he uses watered down Elmer’s Glue to spray on the sculptures when he’s finished to keep them safe from wind & rain.)
