I cut my finger a couple of days ago – no big deal – but as I was putting on a bandaid, I thought: What if I was among people who had bodies that couldn’t heal? What if when they got a cut – that was it: death sentence. They would think I was some sort of superbeing. “You’re not going to die from that? You are amazing!”
That must be like what it’s like for Superman, huh? “Um, you’re going to die from that bullet? Seriously?” So then, going along with these examples, what would it be like to be Superman? It would be as if you had been transported as an infant to a planet where no one could walk upright – maybe they crawl. You’d have to hide the fact that you could walk by crawling around. Then one day you put on a fancy spandex suit and walk around – which is perfectly ordinary for you, a skill you possessed all the time – and freak them out. Superman must think that we are idiots.

I am amazed at the healing power of our bodies. It’s really interesting. God did a good job of engineering our repair systems.

Marvelous! Lauren’s mom received a unit of blood last week. She was scared. But, the doctor told her that when the body is fighting infection, the bone marrow shuts down. That’s why it wasn’t producing the blood cells she needed. Yes, to quote the doctor, it did “make her a new woman.”
