It’s a nightlight that is part of the faceplate of the outlet. You just snap it in place – no wires – and it robs a tiny bit of electricity from your home to power itself. Very cool! It will be mine, oh yes – it will be mine!!

I’m not completely clear on how it gets electricity to the lights. I see that the pincher thingy has metal contacts on it, but I don’t know outlet guts well enough to remember what those contacts would be touching.
(Should I have spelled it pincer? That would seem to be reserved for crab claws and such. Pincher would be the colloquial way to spell what I was talking about, right?)

What?!? That is genius! I’m definately going to look for these. Although something screams ‘fire hazard’ to me for some reason.
