Happy Birthday, Mom! Since. She a little younger than my dad, we can safely assume that she is 29 today. Hooray!
I already told the camping stories, so let me tell you a reading story. Reading with your kids is so important, but I actually remember reading with my mom. As soon as I was old enough, she let me read “Charlotte’s Web” to her – a chapter a night. She was so patient and just quietly listened up until I finished, the we were off to bed. It wasn’t until one night that I looked over and realized she was asleep. See? I am born to be a preschool teacher – read ‘me to sleep!
I love you, Mom, thank you for doing all the thankless work of raising kids, feeding us, giving free medical advice and loving us. Enjoy your day! My present to is a bunch of cat pictures.
A worm got a ride on an ear of corn. Endless snooping abounded.
And this is just Wally, lookin’ like a knucklehead.
Brad says
Did they eat the worm? Gus doesn’t eat bugs like Max used to. He doesn’t even properly mangle them. He just kind of sniffs at them and lets them go hide under the refrigerator or something.
Lauren says
Nope. Just sniffing for a long time and then Lloyd put it outside. They are doing a good job taking care of the crickets in the basement, though.
Tammy says
Funny -- our cat catches crickets too -- but she never eats the legs -- she leaves them in “her special spot” in the living room for us to vacuum up.
Lauren's mom says
Ha! Now that you work full-time+, you understand the sleeping in the evening thing. So hard to keep going. I remember Keren teaching you to read at a very young age. I think I even have a tape of it.
Thanks for the birthday wishes!!
Lloyd says
You are welcome! I hope your evening was restful! 🙂
Lloyd says
Rats. This is Lauren. Lloyd is hogging my computer.
