Well, we have our third camping trip under our belt. Sorry, but you have to look at the slides from my vacation.
How to wash dishes:
(This was my dishpan. It’s a cereal bowl with hot water. My dish soap is in a tiny hand sanitizer bottle. I am ever so happy.)
How to dry dishes:
(Upside down grill, used to make toast, is an excellent drying rack.)
How to dry socks and shoes:
How to camp like a boss:
Let me tell you about these people. Lloyd and I arrived around 6:30 to our site and got our fire made and food eaten, then around 8:30 a group of college kids arrived. (We believe they were stoners. Less swearing and more jovial laughter than the drunks.) Around 9:30 – after the sun went down – a car pulled up and I wondered if more college kids had arrived, but no. A couple got out, left their lights on, assembled their tent in front of their cars, then walked the whole contraption down to the lake. They staked it and had their whole campsite set up in the dark within 20 minutes. It was a thing of beauty. Bonus? The college kids left.
My only regret is not taking pictures of the fire setup. It was also a thing of beauty, but a post for another day. Happy Sunday, everyone!
