Well, it was a good night. I didn’t do my usual list of how many came, but I did try something new. I set up my iPad in the window and tried taking ‘selfies’ of the CDC kids. (They weren’t actual selfies, I was just going for the photo style.) You can see them here if you like.
I also chickened out on my costume. I made a Grammar Nazi T-shirt, but then felt it was too mean to wear. Plus, my friend Kate was over and she is the one who points out that I say “I feel badly” when I really should be saying “I feel bad”. I do that ALL the time – I did it twice when she was here! It was quite funny.
Anyway, Happy Day After. Turn back your clocks tonight!

Hehe… I like your costume idea. I do the “there’s” thing sometimes, but my worst offense (when writing) is “it’s” and “its”. I know the difference, but I often unconsciously type the wrong one and don’t correct it.

I also do the ‘there’s’ thing, but when I realize it, I correct it. The terrible thing is that I was getting so worked up about it, I’m second-guessing everything I say now. Perhaps I need to be like the three Elsas that stopped at my door and Let It Go.
Beth says
I’m most perplexed by you feeling badly. Because the word badly is an adverb, yes? Describing the verb feel, yes? So… I feel badly, too.
Beth says
And now I’ve learned something…

Kristi says
Yes, yes, “badly” is an adverb. Also, the correct answer to the question, “How are you?” should not be “good.” Rather it should be “well.” That’s another adverb answer.
Lauren says
Well, now I have to link to this: http://youtu.be/8Gv0H-vPoDc 🙂

You should of weared the costume…it are hilarious!
(My pet peeve: using of instead of have)
