Three times fifteen, nine times five –
That’s how many orbits I’ve
Circled ’round our sun (called Sol).
Forty-five! I’m gettin’ ol’.
Woo-hoo! And how am I going to celebrate? With a doctor’s appointment! Yep, enough stuff is creaky inside that I’ve decided to give my new insurance plan a test drive and get it all checked out. Then I will eat Chinese food at home, right, Lloyd?
My parents sent two boxes of love. One arrived at school and has birthday cards for us both, a happy little solar flower that Mom knows the cats will destroy, and some pampering items. (Kudos for putting goodies in the ‘stockings’!)
They also sent another wreath! I’ll have to wait until Saturday to see it in the daylight, but it certainly garnered a lot of attention during the unwrapping.
And now, a couple of downer notes. Some idiots have been breaking into cars all over Seward the past few weeks, and last night our new teacher’s locked car was robbed. She only had a blanket and gum taken, but that feeling of being violated and unsafe is hard to shake. Prayers for her, please.
Also, a former student teacher’s younger sister (20?) passed away unexpectedly and the funeral is today. So your birthday present to me can be prayers for the family, ok?
Over and out.
No, wait. Let’s have one more cat picture for a little cheerin’ up.
