Deborah and another teacher at St. John have birthdays in March, so they invited all the staff to a birthmonth celebration at a local winery. (I’ve only been to one of our local wineries (I think we have two), so it was nice to see the other one. Well, see the inside. It was dark when we arrived and since it’s on a gravel road, we drove right past it. Lloyd thinks they need better signery for their winery.)
Its name is Junto and is very nice inside. Lloyd and I were thinking the layout would be perfect for a house: Nice big room with a round-ish counter (kitchen), bathroom and bedrooms off to the back. I can’t wait to be a wino and live in my winery. They have live music, and she even played a ukulele!
The name Junto comes from a club that Ben Franklin used to belong to. Some guys used to read books and drink, then talk drunkenly about the books. Something like that. I wasn’t paying attention.
Lots of people came for the evening, and it was delightful. Thanks, Deborah!
