When we were in Kansas City, Lloyd found his favorite place in the whole wide world: a QuickTrip. QuikTripp? KwykTryp? He went to get gas during one of my IKEA trips, and when he came back he said, “You have GOT to see this gas station. It has everything: 16 different flavors of ice tea; 12 different iced coffees; 10 hot coffees; 12 icees; 20 slushies…” He said other things, but I tuned out. It seemed to be his personal IKEA of beverages.
Once I walked in, though, I was suitably impressed. We didn’t take nearly enough photos.
I wonder if they have a catalog….

Haha! Your different spellings of the name made me laugh. I’ve often thought about how stores like that spell their names so crazily. It must be a trademark thing or something.
Lloyd says
Oddly, they only had “cola” as a soft drink flavor. The place where I fill up with gas has: Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Dr. Pepper and some oddly-colored, non-soda flavor.
Gretchen says
Wow! What did you choose?
Lloyd says
They were out of cola, so I kept putting a little bit in my cup and tasting it. Eventually I had a lot of little bits in my cup that tasted pretty good. I know there was some Mango, some Strawberry Kiwi, some Banana, some Lime, probably some others.
I was a little inspired by a 8 year old boy who was intentionally doing that.
