Part of the groundbreaking planning involved ordering banners. I went with VistaPrint, which seemed to be the best deal at the time. I messed around with different layouts but finally went with just a photo of the building and text. The day I made them, they had a wonderful deal – 40% off! But we decided to wait until the next day because we needed to clarify a few things.
Next day ordered! But what’s this? Today they are only 30% off? (Sad trombone sound.) Grrr…. I made adjustments and ordered them. $18 shipping?!?!?! I am eating it on this one.
Then there is a small saga that annoys no one else but me, but basically the delivery date was the conference date, and there was much confusion and goofing up by both me and the post office. I’ll let it go. *sigh*
But late in the day they were in my possession. One is to go on the fence at school, but the other is to go on the building site, letting people know that the groundbreaking is Sunday. I cut some wind slits in the banner (saving money), put in some grommets (also saving money), Lloyd pounded in some posts, and there you have it.
One step closer.

Is that Century Gothic font? I used that with the little kids when we typed in Computer Class. I thought the ball-and-stick letter A would be less confusing.

Excellent work….both of you! The sign & the installation looks great!
(I ordered a banner from VistaPrint when my son graduated, and it came out really good too.)

I like the picture of the handsome lad by the sign!
