The loosely-connected parts to this story:
1) I am a pen thief. It’s not on purpose, I just grab pens to use from wherever and then wind up walking away with them, usually jammed in my pocket. Tonight I came home with a permanent marker in my pocket. Dang it! I need permanent markers to stay at school!
2) I have terrible handwriting. It’s a pretty awful, fast scrawl. If I slow down and take my time, I can actually make legible letters. I’d really like to get better at writing, but I usually only slow down if I’m writing with a nice pen. Speaking of handwriting, have you seen this guy? He is quite inspiring.
There is no way on the planet that I will ever have handwriting that nice, but I am challenging myself to 1) use this nice pen (see above banner) to write with at school and 2) not lose it.
It’s been a week and a half so far. I give myself two more days.

I’m pretty good at keeping track of pens, but I don’t have pretty handwriting. Legible, but not pretty.
Grandpa Royuk says
I half-print and half-write. Is that acceptable? It’s not that pretty but it is quite readable. Keep trying Lauren!

Awesome pens make a world of difference in handwriting. G2 pens are my daughter’s favorite, and it’s becoming mine, too. Keep it up, Lauren!!!
