Dang it, Facebook. I was looking around and someone linked to ‘Saltine Toffee Crack‘ something-or-other. I haven’t messed around in the kitchen for a while, so it seemed like a good plan. I knew I had everything: butter, brown sugar, chocolate chips, saltines. This was a done deal.
I got everything out. Um, I did not have saltines.
Well, what if they were just tiny saltines?
Those’ll do. Let’s get to melting.
The toffee was fun to make. (I just made a half batch.) You melt the butter and brown sugar and then boil it while it makes violent bubbles. Nice and dangerous!
Anyway, I followed the rest of the directions to the letter. Hooray!
After flipping it over, I saw that the toffee didn’t get everywhere. I see this as a feature rather than a problem
