Well, the storm started late, but we did get a significant amount of snow. I fell asleep on the couch last night and woke up this morning to thunder and lightning. That’s right – thundersnow. Being a Nebraskan, I promptly rolled over and went back to sleep. Nature oddity, schmature schmoddity.
It was a true blizzard, with really strong winds. It splattered snow on the windows, obscuring the view and confusing the cats.
The day was spent lazily puttering. I processed a couple loads of laundry, did a little baking, then ventured outside to check the snow totals. It was quite beautiful.
Not too shabby.
The big tree in the pot by the window got knocked over because it was so filled with wet snow. We had to do some shaking to get it to stand back up. I think we might need to cut that tree down.
Back inside, it was time for eats. Fresh bread and a juice snow icee.
Oh, and don’t forget the catnap.
I think I could get on board with mid-week Second Saturday.
