Since all that’s really going on in my life right now is getting the new center ready, I may as well just write about that everyday.
Today began with an announcement at church asking for volunteer help. Last week Lloyd and I did it before all three services but something went wonky at the 8:30 and there was sound, but no video. It was a loooooooong two minutes to stand and wait for my disembodied voice to quit echoing in the sanctuary. It went better today.
Then we went to help Jeff (our building committee chair and saint) help survey the playground and set up stakes. I don’t mean ‘survey’ like we just stood around and looked. They had the surveyor stuff and everything. My job was to hold the big white stick and try not to move around too much. Holding the big white stick is key.
After that Lloyd and Harold went to get the rest of the auction furniture and then a bunch of us unloaded it into the basement of the new building. I am – once again – grateful for everyone’s help.
After that I heard that a small Wal-Mart community grant came through. I asked for an unreasonable amount of money and was granted $50. That is nothing to sneeze at – it’s money I didn’t have before. It will be used to purchase some fabric for some projects.
Then it was home for some t.v. watching. Oh, how I love t.v. watching.
That’s about all for now. Have a great Monday, everyone.

Good news about Walmart. Every little bit helps.
I should be able to help on Wednesday. Let me know when.

Mmm… stakes.
Wait… what?
