(You’re supposed to,say that in Ralph’s Russian accent)
The post-bath battle continued, but I realized maybe I should stop recording all that nonsense.

Hmmmm… My photos won’t load. I’ll get my tech guy right on that. Right after he’s done watching the original ‘Magnificent Seven’.
Hmmph.

One of my little girls had this shirt on today and I wondered what it meant. Maybe something sweet like ‘cousins as close as sisters’? Well, the only concrete thing I could come up with was basically ‘the children of sisters who have slept with the same man’. I am putting that nicely.
She said her grandma gave her the shirt. Hmmmmm…….

We had our Grandparents’ Tea last night so I didn’t get a post written. It went very well – lots and lots of grandparents. It was basically Open House Part Two, This Time With Cookies. If you go to our Facebook page you can see it. That’s all for now.
Pray for Brad, would you? He is not feeling 100% and would like to not get bronchitis.

We had our dedication/Open House for the new CDC today. Lloyd and I needed to set up for communion for late service, so we did a little work before church and after. Around 1:30, people were starting to arrive for this 2:00 event. Ok, no big deal.
The dedication didn’t start until 2:15, and with so many people getting up to speak, it went a little long. We were outside, and there were chairs for older folks to use, but my back was hurting and I started to feel a little weird. I had to lead “Jesus Loves Me” near the end, so I was holding my guitar. In the sun. I felt weird.
We sang our song, and afterward I got to stand on the porch and lean on the building, but my mouth tasted funny and my cheeks felt funny and my hearing started to go. “Crap. I’m going to pass out in front of all these people.” I remembered that we didn’t have time for lunch. I excused myself and went to the kitchen to drink some Pepsi and lie down on the floor for a minute. Then I thought that was bad form, so I went back out…. and they were waiting for me to help cut the ribbon.
Oops. They said they didn’t wait long at all, they just thought I was in the back of the group. Whew.
Anyway, the open house is done. Check.

Ah, Saturday. I needed to do some stuff at school, but it could wait. I decided to sleep in. At some point Lloyd nudged me and said, “We need to leave in half an hour.”
“What?” I replied.
“For the auction,” he said.
Hmmph. I didn’t know there was an auction. Oh, well – it actually was a nice surprise. It gets me into Lincoln and assures that I’m going to have to waste some time in some stores. I bought a pair of pants and then got a haircut.
I stopped in a tiny little salon where there were four chairs and one nice lady named Rose. As I sat down I said, “In the interest of full disclosure, I should tell you that there was a lice outbreak at my school this week.” She didn’t bat an eye. “Would you like me to check your hair for you?” “Yes, please.”
Rose was great. We talked about lice and mayonnaise and how I didn’t have any cash or checks on me (it was a very tiny salon), but she would trust me to go get a check from Lloyd later. Rose is very sweet and trusting, but it turned out that I had secret car money I could use to pay her. Rose got a nice ‘thank you for checking my head for bugs and eggs’ tip.
