Dang it, Lloyd. Why you gotta get all the genius credit?
On Friday I was determined to finally get some stairs for the toddler bathroom either made or ordered. One side has an old set, but the other side has been making do with just a little stepstool. When Lloyd came to pick me up we chatted about how in a perfect world, I’d really like to do something that would slide in and out of the little cubby space instead of having to drag the steps.
Well, on Saturday we went to an auction, and while I dismissed everything there as stupid garbage, he pointed out some big squares. “What?” I asked.
“They do this,” he said, and slid them back and forth.
They were perfect!!
Use your foot to pull….
Bingo!
I bracketed them on with L-brackets, because this project needed to be Laurened up.
The other side? Well, the slider is there, and I finally found a place that just sells stairs and it’s ordered, but until it arrives…
Ugly, but servicable.

Hehe…. The last picture made me chuckle.

Your last picture reminds me of the tents taped to the outdoor deck area of the Alaska marine highway ferry.
Lauren's mom says
What are those steps leading to?…or to what are those steps leading….

The changing mat to change diapers lives on that countertop. In the photo it’s up on end because that’s where it lives when it all gets cleaned. This is our setup that is built-in, as opposed to a separate piece of furniture like this: https://schoolhousemarkdowns.com/jonticraft_changing_table_with_stairs_right_5270481.php?utm_source=googleshopping&utm_campaign=googleshopping&utm_content=5270481
