Today was rough. ROUGH. We have new students starting, which is always stressful, and today we were down two staff due to sickness. Nothing like trying to keep things positive when everyone is stressed out.
Anyway, let’s not think about that. Or the fact that I have two little ones in the afternoon in my room who are still in pull-ups and my room stunk like poop. No, let’s move one.
Let’s also not dwell on the fact that the wind chill has been below zero for a couple of days and today we were stuck inside all day with this group of crabby pants.
Instead, let’s think of the 4-pack of decorative wall panels that I scored at The Container Store on Sunday, and how cool they are. (And cheap! $10! for the set.) The classroom next door to me? A plain old windowed door:
My door? Fancy. Fancy schmancy, dare I say. They are made of plastic, so fairly durable, and were light enough to hang up with just a couple of pieces of tape.
But don’t walk in there. It smells like poop.

Nice!

Fancy schmancy indeed. You’re not only a home decorator, you’re a childcare center decorator extraordinaire!

I am often envious of you, because you’ve been at the same job so long. Since I moved to a new school and I’m working with new subjects, I feel like I’m often scrambling.
Though I’m not happy to hear you had a bad day, it brings me a little comfort to hear that days can still be rough, even when you’re doing something you’ve got lots of experience with.
I hope today is better!
(Dang it! I typed this comment early this morning, but didn’t hit ‘submit comment’)

Oh, my goodness. I struggle to not complain about my days. Strug-gle.
