Well, we’ve had two days of VBS. I am in that ‘maybe this is a bad idea’ mode that will surely fade by Friday, but holy moly. The amount of planning and preparing and thinking that goes on is tiring. I am with an older group, which is a treat. My CDC children are doing fine, but we have a few others in our group that are pushing some boundaries. Also, they are all SO. LOUD.
Three more days. Three more days.
New topic:
I’ve been mulling over an idea for a while, and I need to think it through a bit more, but here it is: One way to make something bearable is to make it unbearable, then dial it back a little.
Brad says
Yay! (I’m not really celebrating anything you’re saying. I just noticed my last two comments started with “Yay!”)
That’s an interesting theory. I mean, obviously there would be limits to it. Could that actually work? Would an artificial “unbearable-ness” create the same effect as a natural one?

We only have 27kids in our VBS, Two of them have never been inside a church before. Still, I have often wondered….is it just a summer babysitting serviice or do they come to know Jesus as their Savior.
