So, the Peperkorn family (all but their eldest daughter) came in around 9:30 Monday night. They drove 900 miles in one day!! Can you believe that? I just can’t imagine spending that much time in a car. (Brad, I understand you are going to undertake something similar today?)
It was wonderful getting together. Some people came over to say ‘hi’ in the evening, others in the morning. I only got one photo with people, dang it. We went through old yearbooks and had a great time catching up.
I managed to get the house mostly clean, and even cleaned out most of the downstairs guest room, which they didn’t need. One job that I also got around to doing requires a little bit of storytelling.
‘Way back around Easter, the living room clock stopped working.
No big deal. I just ignored it and thought, “I’ll get around to it eventually.”
A couple of days later, the clock on top of the piano also stopped working.
Notice anything??? They both stopped at a quarter to seven. Lloyd and I decided that we were probably ghosts and that was when we left this realm. It’s been that way for an eternity.
Anyway, I replaced the batteries so this place would be less creepy. I hope I was successful. You’re welcome, Peperkorns!
