Soooooooo hot…..

July 16, 2017

There was an auction in Lincoln today. We went after church, despite the 95 degree heat, and I have to tell you: I do not like to sweat. I don’t like regular sweat, but this was the first time that sweat dripped in my eyes, which 1) stings like crazy and 2) proves that I have never faced any real hardships in my life.

Ug. It was so hot. I would dart away to an air-conditioned store as often as possible, stopping back only to deliver sandwiches or play the random instruments.

We bought some tables for Lincoln Lutheran, and a table and office chairs for the CDC. Our new interim director begins on Monday so she gets her pick before we parcel them out.

We also bought some storage for the office. Here is a truly unattractive picture of me removing the broken leg stubbins from underneath. Awesome. This is not what I meant by ‘take a photo so we’ll have post material’, Lloyd.

Anyway, I just want to repeat that it was very, very hot and I was very, very sweaty. That’s the big takeaway from this story.

    You didn’t buy the xylophones???

  2. Brad Said on:

How much did the xylophones go for? It seems like they would be hard to resist.

They were hard to resist, but they were the last things to sell, and we ere not actually there for them. They went for $1,200 each.
