We have called an Interim Director for the CDC while we go through this transition year. She’s going to do a fine job, and we are grateful for her. Since she has a permanent home elsewhere, places that call her to be interim provide a place for her to live. We found an apartment for her, and we did an all-call for ways to furnish it. A few people really pulled through (rage and gratitude again), and I think it will be quite nice.
I took some photos early this week when we moved things in, but forgot to take another one after today’s additions. (I found a different corner t.v. stand at a yard sale and a good area rug at Menard’s for $13. Woo-hoo!)
One of the congregation members had a complete bed set, and a CDC family had a dresser and nightstand. It will work out just fine.
Dishes, pots, pans a kitchen table and chairs have been donated, and I have been REALLY trying to hold back on just setting up the whole place the way I would like it. That is the hardest: it is not my home. I want to set it all up because everything in there is stuff that I don’t need at my own home. This place needed trash cans and plungers and lamps and clocks. *sigh*
Brad, can I just come out and set up your apartment? Please?
