Several people in my family have insomnia, and I have always counted myself blessed to not have that problem. I am an excellent sleeper.
Not lately, though. The past few nights I am WIDE AWAKE at 4 in the morning, freaking out about schedules and CPR. I’ve tried telling my dumb brain to worry about it all later, but it will have none of it.
I’m drinking a bunch of wine tonight to combat this. We’ll see if I’m calmer or freaked out and hung over. Fingers crossed for the first one.

Do you ever just get up at 4? I’ve been trying to wake up then so I have lots of time in the morning for work. I’ve been having trouble switching over from summer mode though.

Magnesium is supposed to help. Personally milk,cookies and a book help.
