This weekend might not shake out to be everything I had hoped. I was pretty tired on Friday. Lloyd and I fell asleep watching t.v. about 8 and I woke up at 9:30 the next day. He has a cold, so he was excused from the excursion. I got in the car with snacks, a pillow and blanket and set off for Kansas City.
I got to IKEA around 3:30. I only did two walk-throughs. One to make a list and the other to buy the things on the list. It was Saturday so it was crowded, and it was a little discouraging because there were so many little kids being snots. Not normal-snot-stuff that I can handle, but speaking to their parents like they were idiots and the parents not smacking their heads across the store. I didn’t like it.
Anyway, I left as soon as I was done and headed home. I thought about pulling over somewhere to sleep for a while but there wasn’t a good place and I wasn’t actually tired. I did have the interesting experience of driving through downtown Lincoln as a Husker game was getting out. (10:30-ish) That was crazy.
Anyway, home within 11 hours. Zip zap.

You could have rented out the back end of your Prius on Husker Game Day! More $ for IKEA!

Hehe… when you get used to being tired, but then on a random day when you can nap, you aren’t…
It made me chuckle.
