I can always tell when Ralph has caught a mouse. It’s usually at night, and he announces it while he carries it proudly upstairs, clenched in his teeth. Sometimes he deposits them at the top of the stairs, but if he is particularly proud of his kill, he brings it to my bed to show me what a good provider he is.
Good boy, Ralph. Good boy.
