It was a busy weekend. Normally those make me cranky, but this was alright. On Friday evening I baked some cookies for a cookie exchange. I knew there wouldn’t be time on Saturday, so that was weird not passing out at 7 on a Friday night.
On Saturday Lloyd and I went to Nebraska Furniture Mart to look at furniture. I have an estmate from an upholstery place and to re-upholster our current furniture it would be about four thousand dollars. We went to see if anything we liked would be comparable. It was a little draining looking at so much stuff. We ran some other errands, but those are for another day.
One of the spontaneous stops we made was to a store called Bricks and Minifigs. It was a Lego store, but a home-grown kind. It had shelves with sets, minifigs in the display case, and homemade lego bin/tables all over. There was a room in the back where they were hosting a birthday party. The children sounded happy.
Back to Seward for my staff party. It was very nice – we had appetizers, talked, then I had to come home to run an errand. (Another story for another time.)
Today we had church then helped the Center for Liturgical Art with an art sale. The funds will go to help restore Professor Marxhausen’s original studio. It was well-received and they made a fair chunk of change.
*sigh* I am beat. Now on to the week!

What are those greenish chocolate chip cookie things? Is there some kind of pinkish filling between them?
Lauren says
They are mint chocolate chip cookies made with Andes mints. The pink stuff is some peppermint fudge a co-worker made that didn’t quite set up. I made a room-temperature ice cream sandwich with them
Brad, you’ll be glad to know that as soon as I got home I quarantined the cookies according to their style. No flavor mixing. 😉
Brad says
Eeewwww… different kinds of cookies mixed together in the same container. If any of them have mint or peanut butter in them, all the rest of the cookies will taste like mint or peanut butter, or even worse… mint AND peanut butter. Yuck!
