Merry Christmas!

December 24, 2017

Happy Birthday, Jesus! Thank you for coming to be our Savior! I hope everyone has a safe and merry day. 🙂

Lloyd and I spent much of the day lazing around, which is my very favorite thing to do. I did manage to get a couple of things done, and one of them was poking around at the oven. I’ve looked at a lot of parts and diagrams online, and know about 1% less than I did before this process.

We’re pretty sure it’s a problem with electrical panel and not the actual oven elements, since neither heats up. There was also some weird heat coming out of the oven vent hole inside that seems weird. Lloyd took off the back and we think we see the problem:

Yeah. That ain’t right. So, we’re going to call a repair person this week to see what it would take to fix this thing. Until then, I had a bit of a freak-out about even having it plugged in. If this house is going to catch on fire, I am going to decide how it happens.

It will happen like this.

Don’t give me any noise about not using it inside. People have actual gas stoves in their homes.

You do have a window open while you’re using it, right?

The glass on our door broke. The replacement part, ordered, cost $167. We could have bought a new stove like it from Home Depot for $250 plus tax and delivery. But ours is cheaper than yours. Some years ago, I thought the panel was defective. The replacement was around $200, if i remember correctly.

Ha! The last picture is hilarious! If I were in your situation, I would just eat cereal for dinner. Oh wait… I already do that. Do you want my stove?
