Ugh. Things are breaking all over around here. My microwave has a situation where it trips the circuit breaker every so often. It has happened so often that I’ve marked the switch on the breaker box with a sticker. It didn’t used to bother me, but lately it happens about every third use. I’ve taken to shouting/swearing when it happens. Oh well, it has served me well for 21 years and I guess it’s time for a new one.
My hair dryer died. The next-to-last time used it, it made a weird noise and I thought, “I should clean that out.” Well, this morning I used it and it made a short, weird sound, then got red hot inside and imediately started to smoke. Yikes! No actual fire, but dang.
Two appliances? Really?

Your microwave is twenty-one years old? That’s from last century! I’d say you’ve gotten your money’s worth. Maybe the new one you get will have some cool new-fangled feature, like a digital clock instead of an analog one.

Don’t fight it. Buy a new appliance or two.
