It has been about a year since I’ve done anything with the acoustic panels at school, so I thought I would devalue that building a little more.
Panels need to go up in the kitchen and the hallways, but putting up rectangles and having them be level is a pain, so…..
circles!
Whee! The cutting process had a learning curve (insert laugh here), but it got easier as I went along.
They couldn’t go up just plain and white, and I didn’t want to put the dye on with the spray bottle, so I tried brushing it on. Here is the first experiment on some scraps.
The final product has a pretty good ‘wood’ look. Other giant circles got the tablecloth wrap.
Here are some before-and-after shots. (One with a ‘photoshop planning’ picture.)
They are not done. I need to make a few more, but overall I am pleased.

Well done, Lauren. To repeat: you are a genius!

You could just fill the kitchen with padded church pews. That always absorbs a lot of sound when choirs are trying to sing.
