I went to to Omaha with Rachel and Anna on Sunday. Since we had a teenager along, I went into stores I would never go into on my own: Old Navy, Forever 21, Young People Shop Here, etc.
The music in every single store was amazing! All the 80’s hits! I had a hard time not singing along and shoulder-dancing. It was bliss until Rachel made an interesting observation: they play that music so they parents don’t mind staying in the store as long as the kids needs to shop.
Brilliantly manipulative! I didn’t even mind. 🙂
Rachel says
We SOOOO should have broken out in full dance. That would teach them not to play our music!! (It was super fun though, wasn’t it!)
Brad says
Haha! Do they call that music “oldies” now? How do they differentiate among the kinds of oldies music? Music from the nineties and the two-thousands is old too.
Lauren says
When we left one store, Rachel commented to the salesbaby how nice the songs were. The salesbaby said, “I think it’s because this store just celebrated its 50th anniversary.” Um. Those songs are 30-ish years old, kid.
