A little bleh

May 7, 2018

I have laryngitis from my dumb stomach. I don’t know why it flared up – I’ve been doing so well up until now. Oh, well. It’s annoying but it makes me appreciate the many times when it doesn’t happen.

What else can I tell you? I didn’t write about confirmation Sunday because I went to bed super-early. The day was great. I was in awe at how smoothly the service went. They processed 30-some eighth-graders and four adults, served communion to everyone and we were out in just over an hour and a half. Afterward we joined Bethany and family for lunch and an Open House. It was a beautiful sunny day and everyone had a great time. Glorious!

Oh, and more stuff the kids say: “Why do we say the fire alarm is going off when it’s really going on?”

Deep, huh?

I have a student who is currently asking a lot of questions like that fire alarm one. I wonder if it’s trending on Instagram.
