Puttering around

June 24, 2018

Brad is going to arrive on Monday, so there were some things to get done around the house. I did laundry, swept, wiped off the counters, etc. It’s no show place, but it will be fine.

I even scrubbed the bathtub. Well, not really ‘scrubbed’. Have you heard about vinegar and Dawn dishwashing liquid? You heat up the vinegar, add the detergent and then let it cool down. Pour it in a spray bottle, spray it on your bathtub, wait a while, then wipe off the grossness.

It worked wonderfully but I noticed that the tub was having difficulty draining. A couple of weeks ago I noticed it was having trouble and bought some Drano but while working on it, I noticed the drain handle gets stuck in the up position. I watched some YouTube videos and figured it was in my skill set to work on it. What I didn’t know was that one of the screws corroded so badly that it broke off. Um…….

Dang it. I’m going to have to leave a note for Brad…..

Here’s a photo of Emme to make us all feel better.

Aww… thanks for going to all that effort for me. I really will just be sitting on the couch mostly. Hehe
