A quick trip to Kansas City

Rachel had invited me to go along to Kansas City way back in…. April(?) when she and Anna were going to have a free weekend. (Sam and Gracen were away for basketball.) Our plans were cancelled due to weather, so this is a make-up weekend that also happens to fall on Anna’s birthday!

Saturday we went to the zoo, which was wonderful. We walked around and saw everything, but we also got to do all the rides – train, tram, boat and skyline – thanks to our ‘premium’ tickets. It was delightful, we were exhausted at the end and flopped down for naps. We stayed in for the evening with pizza and a movie.

Today a visit to IKEA, where my happiness will overflow. (Cue ‘choir of angels’ sound)

Lloyd, please feed the cats.

    Ha!

We were in Kansas City yesterday too (Olathe, KS) at friends’ house too, from Friday evening until around noon on Saturday. Sounds like you had (or are having) a great time.

Safe trip home is our prayer for you.
