Well, the bead necklaces have been made, the paper crowns were colored and stapled, the Helper pointed to decorated cereal boxes while the Hander-Outer dropped in treats.
Lots of people had clever, homemade valentines attached to food. I approve of any food-related Valentines.
We ate Kate’s delicious cherry Jello (heart-shaped, of course) and drank our traditional pink milk (milk with a drop of food coloring).
Voices were raised, feet were running, and the teacher made the threat to hang on to Valentine boxes until tomorrow unless everyone could calm down, and she almost made good on it with two boys. Kindness won out, though.
