We had an old-fashioned blizzard in Nebraska this weekend. Saturday morning was pretty nice, so I went to work for a bit, and when I came home around noon the snow started for real. It was so much snow…. Sam and Rachel decided to have us over for dinner. We went. It was very snowy driving over, and at one point I don’t think our car was actually touching the road, we were just flowing along through the snow using momentum.
We stayed the night.
The road crews do a great job cleaning up, but this was bad enough to cause many accidents and closed the interstate from Grand Island to Omaha.
Our 511 website is very detailed and even has Plow Trackers so you can watch where they are. You can even click on the cute yellow trucks to see the view from their dash cams.
Church was cancelled all over the place, so Sunday was a day of paperwork and cat-washing, as one does.

Root canal >>> washing a cat . . . admittedly I have done neither.
Kristi says
How often do the cats get washed?
Brad says
Ha! “…as one does…”
Rachel S. says
Hey Lauren -- per one of our blizzard conversations. You should check out the Heinz Beanzawave…. 🙂
Lauren says
Since I have to enter all that dumb information for each reply, I’ll just reply to all here.
Brady: Ha! 🙂
Kristi: a couple of times a year. Emme jumped on my lap and had a very specific odor, so they all got punished.
Brad: 🙂
Rachel: Who do I get to take my money??
