Do you know about SnapPower? They make wonderful outlet covers that have built-in LED nightlights, and I have several of them sprinkled throughout the house. I just recently saw that now they also make light switch covers, and I really want to buy two of them for the top and bottom of the stairway. It’s a dark and scary part of the house, and they seem to be just what this old house needs – more gadgets.
Anyway, flushed with the prospect of purchasing something, I thought I’d move the outlet nightlight out of the nook upstairs. It doesn’t really light up the hallway since it’s too far away, so I thought I’d move it into the guest room. That room has seen a lot of traffic lately, and I could put it between the beds and it would light up the ‘nightstand’ shelf. (It’s made from boards and encyclopedias, because I’m super classy.)
I took off the old switchplate, took my post photo, and ….. realized that decades ago, when I put up the beadboard, I cut a hole exactly the size of a regular switchplate. The SnapPower one is slightly larger and will not fit. Boooooo……
Wasn’t this a disappointing post on so, so many levels? Hey, at least I have a picture this time. 🙂
