I am in Colorado visiting my parents for a couple of days. I rode the train our and took some photos, but they won’t load. You’ll just have to wait for a bit. I did start a write-up on the train, so I’ll post that:
am on a train to Colorado, so I will update this as I can. I am going to visit my parents.
The train leaves in the night. Lloyd knew that if he drove me, he would not likely get out of bed and get to Lincoln the next day, so I drove myself. I left home a little after midnight, and arrived to find out the train would be in at 2. Yep. Train travel is slow. It was fine, but I was just so sleepy.
On the train, I got settled in and was almost too excited to sleep. I forget to say that if you are prone to motion sickness, the train is not a great option. I like the constant swaying, but it is like constant turbulence. There were several times in the night when I was jolted/rolled around and I always wonder if that was because we hit the crossing or an animal.
It was foggy waking up. I don’t know if that was from the freezing cold train being covered in condensation or what, but it was beautiful.
My little phone can be a hot spot, so I’ll update this as I can. No photos yet. Mom and Dad, I know we are at least two hours late. 🙂
*****As it turns out, it was two hours late. I checked the returning train for today, and it was seven hours late. My return doesn’t look so good….
