I loved seeing my parents. It was a short trip, but quite wonderful. At the Grand Junction station, there was a tour group from Kansas that was going to ride over to Denver and meet up with their bus. They seemed happy and I think they may have bought out the last car entirely. There had to be at least fifty in their group.
Once on board, I set up camp in my room and only left to pee. I read, ate, napped and watched the scenery. It was very peaceful.
I also took pictures and videos of things I like, but videos are too hard for the lazy to edit, so here’s a guy washing his tiny camper in Granby, Colorado. He is my new best friend.
I think this ride was the bumpiest I’ve ever experienced. It was quite jerky in the night, but I was pretty tired and didn’t mind. We came in three hours late (that was to be expected) and after crawling through the back window of my truck to unlock it (different story), I went to work for the last day of the summer program.
