A few weeks ago, on a very hot day, I noticed that the accelerator on the toaster wouldn’t recover. I’d let up and it would still go. Oh, no! I was going to be in a terrible, low-speed crash!! I figured out how to let up on the ‘gas’, then slip my foot under the pedal and flick it back up. It was delightfully dangerous. Y’know – at three miles and hour.
It really only was an issue when the weather was hot, though. Knowing that today (Tuesday) was going to be awfully hot, we opened ‘er up and looked at the guts.
Hahahahaha. “We.” I just took pictures and made suggestions. It turned out that a spring had fallen off. We (Lloyd) got it hooked back up.
That’s a good picture, ain’t it?

A terrible low speed crash…lol lol lol! Yes, that is a great picture! Looks like Lloyd is really doing some major mechanic’n…. not just fixing a spring. But i’m sure he could fix something really complicated on your relaxed toaster. He’s awesome!
Debbie says
Omg, i typed a big bunch of stuff and hit something and it disappeared…… ugh, i can do again. Sorry. Yay for you to mop…i don’t do that so much.
Debbie says
And it was for your other post about cleaning? And i’m only drinking coffee?
Kristi says
I’m impressed that he can make repairs in a dress shirt and fine pants. Now there’s some real mechanic skills.
Brad says
Hehe… I saw that too, Kristi. Dressed like that, he’s a Gentleman Mechanic. You should be speaking in a British accent when doing repairs like that
