Where of the story of the big ocean liner filled with rubber ducks that tipped over in the ocean or some nonsense like that? Maybe it was just a box of ducks that fell into the ocean, whatever, but anyway some scientists tracked where these ducks floated onto shore and it told them about ocean currents, blah blah blah.
I lose pens. I grab a pen and I walk to a different room, write something, put down the pen, and it’s as if the pen never existed. I do this all over the center, and I am sure I have misplaced many, many pens. However, last week a whole bunch of pens disappeared and I was pretty sure that I was not the culprit of losing so many. I bought some new pens, and have marked them with duct tape. It will be interesting to see where they wind up.

Instead of writing with pens, you should write with rubber ducks. Then you could just find them in the ocean.

That’s funny…. when i find a pen i like I’ll hunt it down and blame people for taking it if it’s missing! Although i usually don’t let it out of my sight. I even traded my dad for his pen because it was a bright yellow mayfield pen. Mayfield is our local dairy and i was in awe that he had a mayfield pen!? I love it and it writes good. And i love mayfield products! I’ve been using it now for almost two months. Fun for your duck pens, great idea!

I lose a lot of writing utensils to students. Last year I bought a gross of pencils imprinted with “Borrowed from Mrs. Gorline” stamped on them. Many of them disappeared, but occasionally someone would bring me one and say they found it someplace else in the school. As for the ones that I never got back: I like to think they are enshrined in former students’ homes in homage to me. (I’d insert a laughing face emoji here but I don’t know how to do that.)
