I can’t believe I did so much stuff this weekend! On Saturday, we went to Omaha with Samith and Stephannie. Samith wanted to check out a robotics competition at one of the high schools, since he and Lloyd are going to help with a robotics club at school. (I think that’s what the excuse was.) Stephannie and I went to a couple of stores, then met back up with the boys to do some more shopping. I got to go to a camping store! (Squeee!) Then, we all went to the Container Store! Woo-hoo!
I was able to fulfill a quest. For some reason, my kitchen sink is a weird size. I can’t find a small dish drainer that fits. The openings are not rectangles, they are sort of trapezoid-shaped. The previous dish drainer needed modification so it would ‘fit’. I bent the corners inward and jammed it in. It has worked well for a couple of years, but I didn’t really like it:
The new one just sits on the bottom. It’s not exactly flat, due to the trapezoid issue.
It will work just fine. Dishes for prop purposes only. I know you have to dry cast iron right away!
In other news, I went to a little birthday celebration for a friend who is a leap year baby! He turned ’16’. (He’s really 64.) In eight years, he can legally vote!
On Sunday, it was church, then an ALDI run with Deborah. She appreciates the awesomeness of the ALDI deals, as do I. 🙂 Home for a nap, dinner, and t.v.
Ahhh……

We had a surprise birthday party for our pastor, whose birthday is on February 29. He turned 10. Our boy, who is also 10, said “Wow! He’s married, has kids and already graduated from college. I have some catching up to do.”
Love the simple dish rack.
