The Gebhardts are in town! They rolled into Seward around 6, and we had some snacks and drinks to welcome our Utah friends. For some reason, everyone was gathered on one side of the table like they were on t.v. It was weird enough to take a picture. From left to right: Tim, Beth, Brad, Lloyd, Charles, Deborah and Harold. The little girls (Tara, Macy and Bethany) were upstairs trying to pull Pfennig out from under the bed, so they’re not in this episode.

For Deborah!
It’s not often that I post twice in one day, but here goes. This morning I had to get ready in a rush, so I posted a back-up post (one written several days ago). We have had lots of delightful company in our fair town, and the best of them all – except for Santa – is the Gebhardt Family!!!! They arrived last…… Friday? Saturday? The days blur together now. (As you may remember, I surprised Deborah last May by showing up on her doorstep to celebrate IKEA day.)
Their girls are cat-deprived, as mama is allergic, so they fawn over Pfennig – lavishing her with yummy crunchies, and avoid Cricket ‘mean mean kitty’ like the plague.
I bring you photos!!!
I don’t have one with Macy in it! I’ll have to take one on the Fourth.
Happy now, Deborah? Sheesh, you’re so demanding!! 😀
Dancing Queen
Bethany can dance… Charles and Deborah stopped by over Christmas break, and, every once in a while, while we were listening to some tunes and generally making fun of Brad, a song would play that Bethany found particularly compelling and she would turn into a dancing machine. As you might have heard, Lauren got a new camera for Christmas, so we actually have evidence. Note Macy obliviously playing in the foreground (she’s obviously seen this sort of thing before) and Phennig watching in the background (she’s obviously not seen this sort of thing before).
