If you checked Brad’s site on March 21, he talked about balancing an egg and how it can be done any day of the year. Our good friend Kristi did it! Here’s proof:
Dang it, Kristi! After I posted your picture I had to try it myself. THIS is why I’m not getting stuff done – I’m too easily distracted!!!

Brad says
So can you do this with a hard-boiled egg? Our girls’ P.E. classes are doing egg-babies right now. I would be tempted to try it with one of their babies, but I think they’re all hard-boiled.
Lauren says
I’m torn. I would think that having a free-floating egg yolk that can settle would help it balance, but with a hard-boiled egg, shouldn’t everything have a balancing point? Look at all those nutty Cirque de Soleil people -- they’re not raw eggs and they can balance like crazy!
Brad says
Do Cirque du Soleil people hard-boil their babies?
Lauren says
Yes, that’s their secret. Nobody can move like that unless they’ve been messed with.
Peggy says
Don’t consider it being distracted from other work … consider yourself an eggs-plorer of tales & myths …
Kristi says
Beings today is NOT the vernal equinox, I decided to see if one really could balance an egg. Lo and behold, I was able to balance 2 eggs this afternoon. So much for that myth. Rather than be disappointed, I now have my circus act prepared for my second career.
