Tears from heaven

May 1, 2007 by Lauren 12 Comments

So cute I could cry - - - get it?

My whole life all I ever wanted was a teardrop trailer. The Trailer Fairy told me that if I was good enough, smart enough, and pretty enough, I could have one.  I ain’t got one yet.

Teardrop trailers are impossibly tiny.  They are just big enough inside for a mattress, a cupboard for your underwear, and six hours’ worth of air. These things have plagued me on HGTV, driving by on trailers, and in my dreams.  I’ve only known them from theory and the internet.  But on Saturday, driving back from Columbus, they actually had one!!! Actually, they had two – one was inside the little car/trailer store.  I had to take pictures, of course!  The camper inside the building had a beer tap, definitely the one we need, don’t you think?  Please, Trailer Fairy, please!!

They thought of everything! You could drive anywhere and drink until you passed out!

If Peter Fonda offers you one, but wants to make a deal, RUN!

Um….what’s the least embarrassing way for me to say that I don’t get it?

I could comment, but then by age would most certainly be stepping out before my beauty, and I have a few things the “fairy” hasn’t left me yet either.
        Okay, here’s a clue: Easy Rider, 1969!

In “Ghostrider”, Peter Fonda was Mephistophiles. He made a deal with Nicholas Cage. It was a bad deal.

I made a bad deal when I agreed to see Ghostrider in the first place!

Only 6 hours of air? That means you couldn’t sleep all night, unless you have the window open. Jerome has been slightly interested in this model. He was thinking we could get a pop-up, but we’d have to trade in the van so it could pull the camper. That means I’d have to drive the pick-up, which is not so convenient if there are two little munchkins in carseats. Just last night he decided to let the issue die. Upon seeing this post, he’s all excited again about a camper.

Um…TWO little munchkins in car seats…have I missed an announcement somewhere? Or Is Jerome a lot smaller than I thought he was?

Jerome is not shrinking, thankfully. We are going to add a little China-doll to our family, hopefully by this time next year.

I’ve never seen one of these … it looks like “the short bus” of trailers.

    (tap is cool though)
