First of all – Happy Birthday, Phil!!!! And to the Gebhardts, Happy Cinco de Mayo!Â
We heard from a little birdie that our gardener would be making a surprise visit! He’s here! We even cleaned his room! Brad’s here for his niece’s confirmation on Sunday and, of course, to check on our garden.Â
Lloyd fell asleep early, so he missed Brad’s arrival around 11 p.m.  Brad said, “Dang it. Oh, well, it’s for the best. I wanted to sneak in in the middle of the night and just be here when you woke up.” Yeah, that would have been funny, except for the part where I would have stabbed the stranger sneaking around our house in the night because I was afraid to wake up Lloyd and raise his heart rate. Yeah, would have been funny.
Welcome, Brad! Thanks for bringing the thunderstorms.

“I’m a travelin’ man,
I’ve made a lot of stops, all over the world.
Oh, I’m a travelin man” (you punk)
What’s next …. time travel?

We were almost in town for my niece’s graduation from Concordia but decided against it because Anna’s still not too great with travelling. Sorry we’ll miss everyone. 🙁

Brad -- you look the same as you did when you left -- crisp white teacher shirt, nicely knotted blue tie (to go with your blue eyes) and hot pink marking pen in shirt pocket!
So any good news from Seward? Will tomorrow’s headline read: “Brad Royuk’s Surprise Visit” 🙂
I’m glad you didn’t spook anyone by the way. I hope Lloyd was happy to see you. Maybe your visit is just what the doctor ordered.
Lauren -- I hope you get some good work out of him. Don’t wear him out too much -- full school week ahead.
